BMW repair & servicing in Al Quoz
Three of our workshop photos show BMWs: an X6 up on the two-post lift, an X5 with the engine bay open, and a 5 Series in the middle of engine work. They tend to arrive out of warranty after a few Dubai summers, which is when the familiar faults begin.
Heat does most of the damage. The oil filter housing gasket and the valve cover gasket harden and start to weep, sometimes onto the exhaust or the drive belt. Plastic cooling parts go brittle, and the electric water pump fitted to many BMW engines can fail with little warning in stop-start traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road. On the X5 and X6, the xDrive transfer case adds its own symptom: a shudder or a drivetrain message on tight, slow turns in car parks.
